Job Summary

Zurich North America seeks qualified candidates for an Analyst role on the Strategic Execution team. This team addresses some of the most important issues facing Zurich, by collaborating with subject matter experts from all areas of the company on a wide variety of projects in a fast-moving environment. Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing solutions to a full range of business problems, covering topline growth, loss ratio improvement, and expense management.

  • Creating strategic and operational plans for Zurich business units and shared service units.

  • Organizing strategic and operating reviews against these plans.

  • Formulating strategic communications to senior leadership and key external stakeholders.

  • Conducting research on market trends and competitor behavior.

Specialists work under the supervision of a Strategy Manager on each project, and may work on multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will be a skilled problem-solver, who can work autonomously to meet deadlines and help drive projects to completion. As the Strategic Execution team interacts with senior leadership of Zurich and Group, it is important that Analysts can communicate clearly, confidently and professionally.

Collects data, provides problem solving, analytical and other project management support to execute assigned projects. The Strategic Specialist executes multiple assigned projects to support strategic initiatives and operational planning, including framing the project approach with feedback from strategic consultants and/or strategic business partners.

Client Internally Focused - The job’s core deliverables rely on delivering service to internal clients, usually at the line manager or employee level. May involve sharing subject matter expertise to others in the organization or supporting others in their efforts to deliver on our promise.

Job Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Strategic and Operational Consulting area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree - completed or part-time in progress.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a focus on PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Experience using data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Experience in the insurance industry.

  • Ability to plan and collaborate on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Insurance industry experience.
