Zurich North America (ZNA) seeks qualified candidates for a Senior Analyst role on the Strategic Execution team. This team addresses some of the most important issues facing ZNA, by collaborating with subject matter experts from all areas of the company on a wide variety of projects in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing solutions to a full range of business problems, covering top-line growth, loss ratio improvement, and expense management.

  • Creating strategic and operational plans for ZNA business units and shared service units

  • Organizing strategic and operating reviews against these plans

  • Formulating strategic communications to senior leadership and key external stakeholders

  • Conducting research on market trends and competitor behavior

Analysts work under the supervision of a Strategy Manager on each project, and Senior Analysts often work on multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will be a skilled problem-solver, who can work autonomously to meet deadlines and drive projects to completion. As the Strategic Execution team interacts with senior leadership of ZNA and Group, it is important that Analysts can communicate clearly, confidently and professionally.

Supports the development of corporate vision and strategies for designated business unit(s). Provides analytical support to the developing/reviewing/documenting and challenging of business and corporate strategies. The consultant executes multiple assigned projects to support strategic initiatives and operational planning, including: frame strategic approach for business unit(s), independently conduct analysis by collecting data and input from other parts of the organization.

Influencer Internally Focused - The job’s core deliverables rely on influencing or negotiating with a range of internal clients, usually at the line manager or employee level. Relationships typically involve promoting cooperation, collaboration or acceptance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Strategic and Operational Consulting area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree

  • Experience collaborating and planning within various business units

  • Experience managing projects independently

  • Experience leading teams

  • Commercial insurance knowledge

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel

  • Experience using data visualization software like Tableu or Power BI
