Senior Actuarial Analyst II - IFRS 17 Project (2c - GI)
Zurich North America is looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst II to work on the IFRS 17 Project and to be a part of the IFRS 17 Project and SAP transformational team in our new North American headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois.
SeniorActuarial Analystwill help implement the Zurich North America GeneralInsurance Actuarial components of the high profile Group IFRS 17 Program, aswell as coordinating with IT to enhance actuarial financial data systems in theSAP Transformation project planning, designing and implementation. The SeniorActuarial Analyst will collaborate with the IFRS 17 and SAP Transformation leadactuary, the Finance project teams, stakeholders across Finance, the project executivesponsor, and reserving actuaries.
Additional responsibilities may include:
Support Finance, market-facing business units,Claims, Risk, Capital Management, and other functions on reserving andimplementation of IFRS 17 Program.
Provide direction and technical expertise onactuarial models and risk issues.Provide direction and technical expertise onactuarial models and risk issues.
Ensure that the claims reserving processes for areappropriately governed in accordance with Group, Regional, and Local regulatorypolicies.
Utilize knowledge of general accounting conceptssuch as assets vs. liabilities, income statements vs. balance sheets.
Present progress of IFRS Project and SAPImplementation to key stakeholders and various business units as necessary.
Assist with reserving activities, portfolioprofitability management, reinsurance analyses, or the support of market-facingbusiness units in complex environments and lines of business.
Coordinate, prepare and perform actuarial analysesincluding loss and premium projections, consultation on actuarial models, orcapital modeling.
Holds an actuarial qualification and, acting in an actuarial capacity, performs routine reserving or pricing tasks as assigned requiring minimal direct supervision, and performs more complex analyses under the supervision of more senior actuaries, all for the purpose of evaluating loss reserves or pricing business. Assists in the training of less experienced personnel.

- Bachelors Degree in Mathematics/Statistics or Actuarial Sciences and 5 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area
Technical knowledge and skills reflective of a practitioner who has progressed within actuarial positions of increasing responsibility
Experience in multiple functional areas (pricing, reserving, capital management) and in multiple business units
IFRS-17 project experience
