Portfolio Management Analyst, Property & Casualty
Zurich North America is currently looking for an experienced Portfolio Management Analyst to join our Property & Casualty portfolio team. Preferably, this position will be based in our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. The Portfolio Management Analyst will support both Property and Casualty Lines of Business. They will provide technical underwriting data analysis and portfolio insights, develop portfolio reporting capabilities, create and design data management strategies, develop monitoring action plans and create capacity for driving execution of underwriting, initiatives, strategies and actions through underwriting analytics. Provides best in class analysis and repeatable data sets to provide the front line underwriting teams with the right data by generating data and reports that will drive actions, innovation and efficiencies.
High Level Influencer Externally Focused - The job’s core deliverables rely on influencing or negotiating with internal and external contacts on strategic and underwriting data impact matters. Relationships typically involve persuading or countering opposition, often with vendor representatives or senior management level customers.
Providing technical underwriting analysis and portfolio insights.
Define and produce standard and multidimensional reports and analysis as well as ad hoc portfolio reports for use by NACI Portfolio Management and Underwriting teams.
Find opportunities for consistency and streamline, eliminate, or improve data gathering, analysis and monitoring of the portfolios.
Navigating between existing ZNA’s Finance, Actuarial, Risk Engineering, Reinsurance, Claims, Enterprise Risk, BU tools, & TUW structures to retrieve the most appropriate and comprehensive views of the portfolios.
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing areaOR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 14 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support areaOR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing areaOR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 12 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
Experience in property or casualty lines of business
Underwriting, and/or Actuarial and/or Finance experience
Technical/Underwriting competency with the ability to recognize trends and understand the underlying business data
Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills
Ability to be an effective team player
Ability to multi-task
Excellent problem solving skills
CPCU or FCAS Designations/certifications
