Guidewire Business Systems Analyst
Zurich is currently looking for a Guidewire Business Systems Analyst to work in a virtual setting in support of the Guidewire DataHub team as part of the Enterprise Underwriting Support team.
This individual will work with the DataHub team totranslate business requirements into technical specifications for systems downstream from Policy Center while working in an Agile environment supporting the design, construction and implementation phases of the system. The ideal candidate will be someone who is an energetic and a skilled professional whom requires minimal supervision, can lead others, and is familiar working in the DataHub environment.
She/he will also have the ability to work with the business and technical resources to address business information and the application needs.
Other responsibilities may include:
Having a strong working knowledge of relational databases such as DB2, SQL server and ability to compose SQL queries
Ability to understand complex transactional processing standards required for premium allocation to support statistical and financial reporting
Translating business requirement into application design specs (may develop pseudo code)
Assisting with formulating and defining systems (system configuration) scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry requirements
Assisting with creation & refinement of design (mockup) on new functionality
Supporting the development team
Working with BA & Project Team to develop & present/communicate technical concept alternatives, integration decisions, issues, plans
Providing strong analytical skills that allow for identification of defects related to data characteristics

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or Engineering and 8 or more years of experience in the Information Technology areaOR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Information Technology areaAND
Process reengineering; LEAN/Six Sigma experience
Experience with process modeling tools
Insurance application system design/analysis experience
Experience with use case development
Experience with Rapid Application Development (RAD) tools/techniques
Familiarity with ISO compliance requirements for different lines of business
Experience with electronic transmission software tools required for FTP
Experience in an analytical role on complex enterprise projects
Strong analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
