Cloud Security Engineer
Zurich is currently searching for a Cloud Security Engineer to work in our Information Security team unit that will report to the ZNA Chief Information Security Officer out of our Zurich North America Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.
The Cloud Security Engineer drives IT risk reduction, security, and compliance while ensuring that IT supports the business objectives of the group. This role will recommend and evaluate security controls and develop cloud security governance processes and procedures. She/He will also oversee policy, standards, and project implementations consistent with local, regional, and global strategy. The ideal candidate has prior experience in the area of cloud computing services, cloud security controls, vulnerability management, and identity and access management.
The Cloud Security Engineer will also support complex projects to identify and align business and technical security requirements, participate in supplier assurance management, and provide technical expertise on IT security to internal business and technical customers. This role will provide thought leadership and engage with IT stakeholders to ensure alignment with local business goals, and will support other cross-pillar information security teams in the execution of policy enforcement and global information security initiatives to reduce IT risks.
In addition, this role partners with local stakeholders in functions such as Privacy, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and other business areas. Additional responsibilities will include conducting vendor and internal risk assessments and ensuring compliance with regulations such as NYDFS.

Bachelor’s Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Data Security areaOR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Data Security areaAND
Experience working across business units and/or geographic boundaries
Strong knowledge of information security concepts, tools, trends and practices
Experience with Azure Security Center and Amazon Web Services security configurations
Experience with IT security risk assessments, vendor management and audits
Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with leading projects, engaging stakeholders and driving stakeholder management
Active security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM.
Experience with privacy or data security regulations such as NYDFS Cyber, SOX, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.
Experience with IT governance or security frameworks such as NIST CSF, COBIT, ISO 27001, etc.
Ability to work across business units and geographical boundaries to engage team members
Strong verbal and written communication skills
