Zurich /RCIS is currentlylooking for a Crop Adjuster to work out of South Central, MI or othergeographies in the State of Michigan. This incumbent will work from their homeoffice.

Our ideal candidate will live in the following areas:

South Central, MIbut, we are willing to consider candidates from other parts of the state aswell.

Today it’s one of the nation’s largest cropinsurance providers, offering risk management protection in all 50 statesthrough a national network of about 4,000 professionally trained and licensedagents.

As a Crop Adjuster, your primary accountabilities will include:

Complete fieldinspections and related responsibilities such as reading maps and aerialphotos, measuring field and storage bins, and discussing findings of crop losswith farmers

Perform factfinding regarding crop damage; record information and transmit loss informationto accurately determine potential damages

Provideexcellent service to our customers – both agents and policyholders (farmers)

Utilize companysoftware to electronically transmit claims information directly from the fieldto RCIS to ensure claims are processed timely and accurately

Followregulatory and company rules, policies and procedures

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6or more months of experience in the agricultural area

  • Crop Adjuster Proficiency ProgramCertification (CAPP) must be obtained with 180 days of hire date.

  • Reliable personal transportation andtravel within territory

  • RCIS Crop Adjuster PhysicalRequirements: walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb agriculturalstorage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25 lbs to 50 lbs, work outdoors in varyingtemperatures/weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonalcommunication skills

  • Strong organization and prioritizationskills

  • Intermediate Microsoft Officeskills
